Jon Soti

Jon was born in Athens,Greece,in 1984.His musical journey started in 1999-2000, holding the mic for his first band ever, ‘’SUNRISERS’’, a band influenced by NWOBHM and early punk sound.   Through the years, he sang for many bands in the Greek heavy metal scene, such as the power metallers ‘’SECRET ILLUSION’’, the symphonic metallers  ‘’FALLEN ARISE’’ and the heavy metallers ‘’CRUSADE OF STEEL’’.

Jon took modern singing lessons in ‘’Pythagoreion’’ conservatory in Anixi, Athens and private singing lessons for classical technique from the famous Greek mezzo soprano Marita Paparizou. Jon is a dramatic tenor. He possesses a wide vocal range (from F2 to A5 ) in a quasi-operatic  tenor way.

His influences include many singers with different voices and voice colours, such as Bruce Dickinson, Michael Kiske, Zak Stevens, Tobias Sammet, Jon Oliva, Freddy Mercury and Michael Jackson. He has been playing with ‘’FLOATING WORLDS’’ since 2011.
