John was born in Athens, Greece, in 1983.His musical training begins at the age of 7, with him studying classical guitar and music theory in “Attikon” conservatory in Cholargos, Athens. During his teen years, he develops an interest in the electric guitar, with early influences including bands like Metallica and Iron Maiden.

Soon after, the discovery of the hallmark progressive metal band Dream Theater (and the progressive scene in general, with bands like Pain Of Salvation, Tool, Porcupine Tree etc), marks the first major influence in John’s guitar playing. The second and most important influence comes in his early 20’s, when he stumbles upon jazz and jazz-fusion music, a fact that also ignites his interest in other musical instruments, like the bass and the keyboards. To this day, jazz remains his primary studying and performing focus.

His jazz influences include Scott Henderson, Bireli Lagrene, John Scofield, Jaco Pastorius, Garry Willis, Bill Evans, Herby Hancock, Joe Zawinul, Chick Corea, Wayne Shorter and many many others. John has been performing over the years with many local bands, in a variety of styles, including pop, rock, latin, jazz and metal. He has been playing with Floating Worlds since 2010.John is a medical doctor, graduate of the Medicine University Of Athens.
